automatic requiring no input from the drivers?
For scheduled bus services in England and Wales yes. For Scotland we can do it but it takes discussion to get to the best solution.
Can you provide more information on hearing loops?
We provide hearing loop solutions that connect to the StopStreamer wirelessly.
The main choice is whether you use a portable loop or have the loop installed into your vehicle.
The choice depends on how often you will use the vehicle for PSVAIR, whether you have access to trusted fitters to make a permanent installation of the loop etc.
Our preferred loop is compact and wall mounted. A 12V supply is needed to power its amplifier but this could come from a powerbank or battery.
All of our hearing loops can be used in a transferable way so are eligible for DfT funding.
Is there a back office to edit settings, diversions etc?
Yes, we will provide you with access to the web portal. This is where you can see the status of your devices, set up rail replacement trips, set diversions etc

Compatible hearing induction loops & appropriate signage can be supplied with the StopStreamer.
How does the system recognize that the bus door has been opened so that it knows when to
announce the route and destination?
StopStreamer does not know that the door is open. But it does know when the vehicle arrives at a stop and becomes stationary so it can make an informed assumption about which announcements
to make and when.
Where should the StopStreamer be mounted?
To ensure PSVAIR compliance, the StopStreamer must be positioned so it is visible to at least 51% of passengers on each deck and to anyone in a priority seat or wheelchair space. (It is accepted that standing passengers may obscure the view).
To achieve the required coverage, including for rear facing seats, extra displays and speakers can be added.
